Eric Hirshfield is the principal at INTOWN Development. He is a real estate developer with nearly 25 year track record of improving residenBal and commercial properties, address by address, throughout many key neighborhoods of Washington, DC.

His toolbox begins with a degree in Civil Engineering from The George Washington University in 1993. Upon graduation, he was a Project Engineer on construction of The Ronald Reagan Building in downtown DC. His career in construction management shifted gears with his first solo project: the rehabilitation of two abandoned storefronts into the eponymous restaurant bar, the 18th & U Duplex Diner. After successfully operating the thriving establishment with annual sales exceeding $1 million for many years, he sold the business and subleased the property, still famous at this location today.

Since pivoting full time into property development, Hirshfield has embarked on a series of building projects. These addresses include high end rowhouse renovations, two family flats conversions to multi unit condominium assignments, mixed use rental income properties, still in his portolio, yielding high rates of return. Hirshfield always prides himself on transforming once vacant, forlorn and abandoned buildings into historically contributing structures. More than a slew of prominent addresses dot the local landscape to attest to these efforts.

NOW INTOWN Development capitalizes on Eric Hirshfield’s fluency and connections in fields of construction engineering, business operations and property development to collaborate his keen ability to acquire, trade, develop, finance, design, build, renovate and operate a wide array of Washington, DC properties at the highest and always best use.
